Save Snead Island (sneadisland.com) is a community advocacy website operated by concerned residents of Snead Island, Palmetto, Florida. The site is dedicated to informing the public about a Conditional Use Permit application filed by Snead Island Boat Works before the Manatee County Planning Commission, and to facilitating lawful civic participation in the public comment and hearing process.
Save Snead Island operates an SMS messaging program to communicate with community members who have opted in through our website forms. The SMS program is used for the following purposes:
